Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-03-09

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using talkgrid, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Account Terms

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use this service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse our services. This includes submitting spam, impersonating others, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems.

4. Nature of the Service and User Profile

talkgrid is a professional tool for conference and event organizers to manage their Call for Papers process. By using the paid features of talkgrid, you represent and warrant that you are acting in a professional or business capacity (e.g., as an event organizer, company, or association).

This service is primarily designed for business-to-business (B2B) use. If you are a consumer under applicable EU law, please review the withdrawal and refund sections below carefully before making a purchase.

5. Payment Terms

talkgrid charges a one-time fee of EUR 30 per event to publish and activate a Call for Papers. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Access to the paid feature (event publishing) is granted immediately upon successful payment confirmation. Prices are displayed in euros (EUR) and applicable taxes will be calculated at checkout based on the User's tax residence.

6. Waiver of Right of Withdrawal

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Spanish Royal Decree 1/2007, consumers purchasing digital content or services have a 14-day right of withdrawal. However, by completing your purchase, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:

  • The digital service (event publishing) begins immediately upon payment confirmation;
  • You expressly consent to the immediate execution of the service; and
  • You acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.

This waiver is presented and accepted during the checkout process before payment is completed.

7. Refund Policy

All sales are final. Due to the immediate delivery and nature of the digital service, refunds are generally not available. You are not entitled to a refund for:

  • Non-use of the service after purchase;
  • Voluntary cancellation of your event;
  • Low number of submissions received; or
  • Dissatisfaction with the results of your Call for Papers.

8. Exceptions and Retention of Processing Fees

In exceptional circumstances (e.g., a verified technical failure preventing the service from functioning as described), talkgrid may, at its sole discretion, evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

If a refund is granted, Stripe payment processing fees (approximately 1.5% + EUR 0.25 for EU cards) are non-recoverable and will be deducted from the refunded amount.

To request a review, contact us at usetalkgrid@gmail.com within 14 days of your purchase, including your event name and a description of the issue.

9. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you submit through our platform. By submitting content, you grant event organizers the right to review and evaluate your submissions for their events.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

11. Limitation of Liability

talkgrid is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
